Jordan Kurland is a co-founder and partner at Brilliant Corners Artist Management, which has offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, and Seattle. The company represents a diverse array of musical artists including Death Cab for Cutie, The Postal Service, Toro y Moi, Soccer Mommy, The New Pornographers, Pup, Real Estate, The Midnight, Jay Som, and Pool Kids. Kurland is also a partner in Noise Pop Industries, which produces and promotes events throughout the greater Bay Area including the iconic small club festival, Noise Pop. He was one of the founders of the groundbreaking boutique outdoor music festival Treasure Island, which ran from 2007-2018. He is politically active, having served on the Entertainment Advisory Committee for both the Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton campaigns. In 2020, he and author Dave Eggers created the digital compilations Good Music to Avert the Collapse of American Democracy (Volumes 1 and 2), which raised over half a million dollars for Fair Fight, Color of Change, and Voting Rights Lab. Most recently he quarterbacked another compilation, Good Music To Ensure Safe Abortion Access To All, which raised over two hundred thousand dollars in 24 four hours for reproductive rights organizations and debuted at number nine on the Billboard Albums Chart. He sits on the board of two non-profit arts organizations, the independent literary publisher McSweeney’s, and the nation’s longest running free outdoor concert series, Stern Grove.
